The Rendon Report is dedicated to executing the essential and responsible practices that comes with being a journalist. With this website, I hope to connect readers with crucial information about what is happening in their local communities and the country, like housing reform and social movements.
The values and ethics of journalism tell reporters and others in the media industry to remain objective and not to place oneself in the issue at hand. While being objective remains and will continue to remain a key part of trusting journalists and the media, I will also not ignore the power that journalism has to shape the outlook of the future. I not only want The Rendon Report to be a source of information and news, I want it to also serve as a platform to share my perspective and partake in discussion with readers on the impact of current events and public policy.
I am a student at Ithaca College studying journalism and politics. Through my studies, I hope to effectively relay important information to the public of any severity, from a local level to a national level.
From my classes at Ithaca College, I have taken a special interest in broadcast media, with the knowledge to produce news packages and anchor a live news show weekly. I also find interest in reporting on housing reform and other social issues facing society.
With The Rendon Report, I hope to relay information and connect with others through the art of the written word and visual media. The need for reliable journalism and politics is at its highest necessity, and this publication will serve the people's need for the untold truth.
